Privacy policy

As of October 2026. This page explains which personal data is processed when you visit brightpage.net. The German version is legally binding.

Hosting and server logs

The website is delivered via Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc., USA; Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, standard contractual clauses also apply). When you visit, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data such as IP address, time, page requested and browser identifier to deliver the site and protect it against attacks. When you open the home page, we use the country of your IP address and your browser language to decide whether you see the German or the English version; nothing is stored. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and fast operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

No cookies, no tracking

We use no cookies and no analytics or advertising services. Fonts are loaded from our own server, not from Google.

Contact form and e-mail

If you write to us via the form or by e-mail, we process your details (name, e-mail address, website, message) to answer your enquiry and prepare a quote (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Form enquiries are forwarded to our mailbox via the e-mail service Resend (Resend, Inc., USA; sent via servers in the EU, standard contractual clauses); our mailbox is hosted by Apple iCloud. To protect against mass submissions, your IP address is counted briefly in hashed form and discarded after one hour at the latest. We delete the data when it is no longer needed, at the latest after statutory retention periods.

AI assistant (chat)

In the bottom right corner of the home page you can ask an AI assistant questions. Your questions and the conversation so far are sent to Anthropic PBC (USA), which operates the AI “Claude”, and processed there under Anthropic’s terms; according to its commercial terms, Anthropic does not use API inputs to train its models by default. The transfer to the USA is based on standard contractual clauses. We do not store the conversations ourselves; the history only exists in your browser tab and is gone when you close it. To prevent abuse, your IP address is counted in hashed form for one hour at most. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering questions quickly (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Please do not enter personal or confidential data in the chat; use the contact form for enquiries.
